Dog walking in Albert Park is almost a required pastime. There are so many dogs and pleasingly, so many facilities available for dog walks. The local businesses make room available for dogs and there are some great dog parks including the famous Gasworks Park (off-leash area and a farmers market on some weekends).
St Vincent Gardens is a smashing little park in Albert Park. The world famous Buddy can often be seen wandering around there. And of course, Albert Park Lake is just across the road with all of its great spaces for walking dogs. Off-leash, on-leash, just wandering around or pushing hard – dog walks here are a treat for all concerned.
Getting to and from the parks and the beaches is really easy too. There are great tree-lined streets offering a lot of shade, with a wide nature strip allowing for lots of doggy sniffing. Taking the dogs for a walk around Albert Park either ending at one of the parks or the beach is always a pleasure.
